Definitely worth a look - great on context. You get a real feel for the competitive edge that drove the 'Renaissance man'.

This looks good. I've always loved the story of Brunelleschi's solution to the probelm of spanning the enormous opening in the medieval cathedral. Something to do with herringbone bricks and knowing more than other local architects about Roman engineering as I remember. It's on my Amazon wishlist.
